GDPR Logger for Notes / Domino, previously called Notes Logger, is out now in version 1.2, where we, among other things, have focused on performance tuning and notification of license expiration.
In this release, we have also chosen to rename our Notes Logger GDPR Logger for Notes / Domino. The new name more precisely describes what the product does – namely ensuring companies with regard to the new General Data Protection Regulation, which becomes enforceable from May 25th 2018.
Better Domino performance
In this version we have improved performance when the GDPR Logger functions as a part of the Domino server.
By creating a better caching of both configuration and licensing we have been able to enhance performance. The new cache is updated automatically when the configuration is changed or a new licensing file is uploaded.
In this new version of the GDPR Logger an automatic notification is sent to administrators when a license is about to expire. The notification is sent 30 days before the license needs to be renewed and when the license has expired.
An e-mail is sent to both the Domino servers administrator group [LocalDomainAdmins] and to the contact person named in the license file.
New design and better overview
In the release, we have also updated the visual design of the configuration database to a more modern look and added some new features to the configuration database and the GDPR Logger itself by customer request:
- The ability to see which server the configuration database is located on
- Enable/disable configurations easier
- Minor corrections in the views to enable a better overview
- The version with its release date is now sent to the console when the server is started
